Michael Bay and Paramount are keeping a tight veil of silence around next summer’s potential blockbuster Transformers. Attacking with a less-is-more strategy, the studio has been quick to yank any sneaky images or documents from the web so quick it makes a webmaster’s head spin. And yet, footage keeps getting out, just in brief, underground spurts.
The latest is a brief look behind the scenes from “Access Hollywood.” Bay let the television magazine on set where they filmed Shia LeBouf being attacked by a mechanical arm and gave them a brief glimpse at some animatics (previsualized special effects sequences). It’s not much, but it might alleviate some fears – the Optimus Prime appearing in the animatic looks very similar to his good old-fashioned ‘80s version. Besides, when the studio isn’t putting out any information, any little bit builds excitement.
Will this clip from the show be pulled from the internet? Based on past history it’s likely, but it’s also possible it may stay. The link came to us courtesy of Richard at filmstalker.co.uk who found it through Michael Bay’s official blog. So either Bay is leaking out information himself, or this is legitimate and fair.
