It’s been a rocky road for Toy Story 3. First it seemed like the film would never see the light of day, and now its original plot has been completely trashed. Our buddies over at FilmStalker report that Disney's John Lasseter has started the project from scratch again.
The original idea for the plot would see Buzz Lightyear, and all the toys like him, recalled and shipped back to Taiwan. Instead of this new headache for the plastic space-cadet, Disney is looking to create a third installment that fits more neatly with the previous two, rounding out the trilogy in all its glory.
Or so we hope. Usually when a movie goes through so many changes, it’s destined to stink. But in the case of Toy Story, I refuse to let go of my optimistic, child-like whimsy.
