LOS ANGELES - In Plain Sight, USA Network's new drama about the witness protection program, got off to a good start with 5.3 million viewers tuning in for Sunday's debut.
It ranks as the channel's most-watched series premiere since The 4400, which kicked off with 7.4 million viewers in July 2004. More recently, Burn Notice averaged 4 million in its series premiere last summer, while the network debut of NBC refugee Law & Order: Criminal Intent averaged 3.8 million last October.
USA said the male/female skew among the key adult demos was nearly even. Mary McCormack stars as a U.S. Marshal who oversees the program in Albuquerque, N.M.
