Earlier this month we showed you a new Eva Mendez poster for The Spirit, featuring a more seductive look at the actress with a noir-style text added to her face. Now Yahoo! Movies has added three more posters of a similar nature to their images gallery, featuring the other femme fatales of the Frank Miller picture.
Each of the new posters takes a similar approach of the Eva Mendez poster, with a close up of the character’s face and some sort of catchphrase. Scarlett Johansson orders you “On your knees then…” in one poster (which we've seen previously), while encouraging you to “Come to me lover…” on a newer one. Meanwhile, Jamie King pleads The Spirit to “Keep the mask on…” Since I don’t go around gallivanting in a mask, the Jamie King one is a little less interesting to me, but damn I wouldn’t mind picking up either of the Johansson posters.
I still don’t know what I’ll think about The Spirit as a movie, but I’m certainly enjoying the marketing campaign. Lionsgate’s marketing people are to be commended for this one.
