Last week we heard that Warner Brothers was finally going to get its house in order and figure out a plan for all the DC Comics superhero properties it’s had sitting around having nothing done with them. Now comes further confirmation that at least one of those big properties, still has some life in it.
The guys over at Slashfilm report that The Flash is still running around somewhere. They caught up with producer Charles Rovan and asked him whether or not the speedster was dead, and he told them that they’re still trying to get a new draft of the script written. Basically, they’re looking for the right screenwriter, but they aren’t in any particular hurry because of the actor’s strike.
I’m not really sure what the actor’s strike has to do with anything. Even if there is a strike, wouldn’t they be ahead of the game to have a script written and ready to go when it’s over? It seems like an odd strategy. Hopefully as WB organizes its house, this thing will finally get fast tracked. The Flash is definitely one of the best superheroes who hasn’t had his day at the movies yet. Done right, he could bring something pretty good to the superhero genre.
