I heard a story recently that, when speaking at my alma mater (which is also his alma mater), Michael Bay admitted that, after making Transformers, he made "more money than you can fucking imagine." And now it seems that Bay has decided to contribute a little bit of that to Transformers 2, operating under the assumption that bigger is always better. Well, that's always been Bay's mantra, it seems, but this time it applies to the budget as well.
Megan Fox, a returning star of Transformers 2 told IGN recently that the sequel is "gigantic," probably because "It's twice the budget." I had been under the impression that the first Transformers cost about a bascrillion dollars, so I'm not sure which Swiss bank account Paramount robbed to make this second one.
Fox also dished a little on her part in Jennifer's Body, Diablo Cody's follow-up to Juno that's about a cheerleader who becomes a vampire-- and also, apparently, makes out with her best friend. Fox fessed up that she has some makeout scenes with her co-star, Mamma Mia!'s Amanda Seyfried, but that's not the end of it. "I eat and seduce everyone. There's a lot of kissing everyone – boys and girls. All kinds of craziness." Those Fox fans out there can run out and buy tickets right now, as soon as you pick your jaws up off the floor.
