Pixar catered to the crowds at Comic Con by showing them never-before-seen images of the characters from their next movie, Up. Technically the photos aren’t supposed to be on the Internet at all, but the lovely Pixar Blog has posted them for our enjoyment. As Mike himself says, they’re unofficial, so check them out soon before Disney takes ‘em down!
The images are actually photographs of the images shown at Comic Con, not scans, though they’re a little second-hand. Still, for photos of photos, they look great. They show us who appear to be our main characters—the old man, Carl, who embarks on an adventure by tying balloons to his house, and Russell, a young Boy Scout who stows away for the adventure. There’s also images of Carl’s house, which has development all around it but still sits stubbornly with a green lawn, as Carl refuses to sell out. That’s the spirit! We also see a bit of Carl and Russell’s journey after the house lands, in the jungles of South America.
We’ve included a few images below, but head over to Pixar Blog to check them out. I can’t wait until Pixar releases some big, beautiful images, since they’re bound to be my computer desktop.
