HOLLYWOOD - Actor Shia LaBeouf could lose a finger on the hand he crushed in a car crash last week, according to reports.
The actor is nursing a heavily bandaged hand after flipping his truck twice in a collision with another vehicle in Hollywood on July 27, 2008.
He underwent surgery and spent several days in hospital, causing delays to his new movie Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
Director Michael Bay is currently adding LaBeouf's injury to the movie's storyline and may have to incorporate a missing finger, reported
Starmagazine.com.
The site suggests LaBeouf has been warned by doctors they may have to remove the digit.
A source tells Star, "Shia called producers and told them. It's really thrown the movie into turmoil."
A representative for LaBeouf, who is facing DUI charges stemming from the crash, has yet to comment.
