George Lucas is talking about that long-rumored, never happening fourth Indiana Jones movie again. He’s always happy to talk about it, he just never gets around to making it. Well this time he’s promising the movie will begin filming next year. Oh, and it’ll be the best one yet. Sure it will George. Sure it will.
He spoke to the Associated Press while in the middle of preparations for the Rose Parade. What’s Lucas doing at the Rose Parade? No, they’re not replacing all the floats with CGI. Instead, he’s been named the parade’s grand marshal this year. The whole parade will have a strangely Star Wars theme, with Star Wars floats and a massive honor guard of dorks dressed up as Storm Troopers to give Emperor Lucas a royal escort.
But back to that Indiana Jones movie. While suiting up his nerd army George said of Indy, “I think it's going to be really cool.” What will it be about? He calls it a “character piece” about “very interesting mysteries”. Wait, does that mean they have a script? George has the answer. He admits, “Mostly it's the charm of Harrison that makes it work.”
I’ll believe in Indy 4’s existence when I see it, and not a minute before.
