Ex-SNL Alumn Signs To Reilly Flick Judd Apatow, Jake Kasdan, and John C. Reilly; just one of those guys being involved in is reason to sit up and take notice. Or at least get off the couch and wash your cereal bowl for the love of Allah. But all three are teaming up for Walk Hard, a comedy about the recent rash of musical biopics to grace the silver screen. Apatow and Kasdan co-wrote the script and will produce with Kasdan directing. Reilly, who has a pretty nice singing voice and is quite a looker, will play Dewey Cox (something about that name makes me giggle like a 14 year old boy), a musician who overcomes adversity to become a legend. He's blind, he accidentally killed his brother, he's addicted to drugs.....oh wait, I'm thinking of the wrong movie.

The The Hollywood Reporter is also reporting that Reilly will not be rockin' the paradise alone. Tim Meadows, who demonstrated a willingness to remain on 'Saturday Night Live' for as long as about anyone in history, is set to join the cast as the drummer in Reilly's band. Meadows is currently hanging around 'The Colbert Report' when he can't get cameo work in movies like Benchwarmers.

This movie has some potential. Meadows aside. Reilly has shown in Prairie Home Companion and Chicago that he can sing without embarrassing himself. It's not that easy, ask Richard Gere. Jenna Fischer, one of the 100 Most Beautiful People in the World (with an agent), and currently breaking hearts as Pam Beasley in 'The Office' is also on board. Reilly and Fischer could have a good chemistry. Not JAM chemistry, mind you, or even KAM chemistry, but a little RAM chemistry never hurts.
