Now that the movie’s leads are settled, Green Hornet has moved on to casting supporting roles. IESB says they spoke to actor Michael Pe?a, who tells them he may be the next guy cast in Seth Rogen and Stephen Chow’s action-comedy.
Pe?a says Rogen has already offered him a part, though he doesn’t disclose what that part is. The most interesting roles are of course, already filled. Rogen is playing the Green Hornet and Chow is his faithful, kung fu sidekick Kato. They do still need a bad guy, maybe Pe?a can set up house somewhere in an underground lair. According to Pe?a, Rogen is actually still writing the thing, which may mean his part isn’t even that well defined yet, depending on how far along Seth is.
Michael Pe?a is probably best known for his roles in recent movies like World Trade Center or Crash, where he played a protective father. The guy is a seriously talented actor, not exactly the sort you’d expect to see in a Stephen Chow/Seth Rogen film. Maybe Seth is his pot connection.
