Angelina Jolie hasn’t announced who she’s voting for in the 2008 election but she is on the same side of several issues as Barack Obama.
The actress shares her thoughts on Obama with the German edition of Vanity Fair.
When asked if she finds Obama and his background an example to her family, she replies, "Naturally that's good, but it's not a sufficient reason to vote for him.”
She elaborates saying, "Barack fights for international justice, he wants to militarily intervene in cases of genocide, and close Guantanamo Bay. These are the things that could move me to vote for him, not his roots."
Even though Obama’s background doesn’t necessarily sway Jolie’s opinion she does seem to relate to him, "Naturally, an American president like Barack Obama would be nice for my family."
Jolie and actor
Brad Pitt are parents to six children, three of whom were adopted from other nations--Cambodia, Ethiopia and Vietnam.
Barack Obama's family similarly has members from different countries: his mother is American and his late father was Kenyan.
