There's been talk of
Zac Efron taking over for Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliff in his role in the Broadway play Equus but Efron sets the record straight telling Access Hollywood, “No, that’s a rumor. I wasn’t approached for it.”
With his high school days nearing an end--Efron and the rest of the cast will be completing their senior year in the next installment of
High School Musical--like with any high school senior, there's that nagging question..."What's next?"
Efron has no plans of heading to Broadway but he may be college bound telling Access, “I was accepted to [the USC] film program, but I deferred."
When asked about accepting the offer he says, “Eventually… but not at this moment.”
“I’m learning so much every day working with great directors. I just worked with
Richard Linklater and
Burr Steers and also Kenny [Ortega],” he told Access. “I’m working hand-in-hand with directors and taking home a lot of lessons.”
The longer you wait, the harder it will be to go back!
High School Musical 3: Senior Year will be released on Oct. 24.
