Lauren Conrad has become a full-fledge reality star but seems a bit tired of it herself.
“I’ve been doing it for five years. I think that it’s time for them to get someone else to step in,” Conrad told OK! magazine after debuting her new spring line at L.A. Fashion Week.
Following her fashion show, Conrad was spotted hanging out with former BFF-turned-Hills nemesis
Heidi Montag at STK in Hollywood, leading to reports the two had buried the hatchet and made up.
Montag, who was at STK dining with boyfriend Spencer Pratt, saw Conrad at the restaurant and reportedly asked if she could congratulate her on her fashion show. After a brief chat, the girls were seen hugging, reports OK!.
We have a feeling this is a 'reality' hug-fest -- not to be a Debbie Downer.
For Conrad, the strain of the cameras on her personal life with friends and love interests may be the reason she ultimately walks away from her hit MTV show.
“It’s more difficult when not only everyone knows about your problems, but they make them worse because things escalate and things get twisted,” Conrad told the mag. “It’s hard to have an actual friendship be torn apart in the media.”
Fans won't be left high and dry if Conrad 'retires' with
Whitney Port in talks of her own Hills spin-off based in NYC.
