Fans of Twilight want to be able to get their tickets as soon as possible, so here’s the skinny on when you can first get your hands on them. MTV’s Movies Blog reports that the tickets for the teen vampire story will go on sale - when else - on Halloween.
Fandango.com will offer advanced sales on Twilight beginning at 12:01am on Friday, October 31st. As if selling advanced tickets to the highly anticipated movie isn’t enough, and selling them on a major spook date isn’t enough, the site is also offering an added incentive to pick up your tickets as your “Trick or Treat.” - a free download of “Bella’s Lullaby (Remix).”
Other than the perfect tie-in of Halloween, I have to admit I’m a bit surprised at the special offer going on here. Ticket sales for Twilight are pretty much guaranteed from the crowd that will buy them so far in advance. What they need to do is offer something to the rest of us - earplugs to cope with high pitched screaming, or subtitles so we can tell what’s going on in the story while the wailing is going on.
If you don’t buy your tickets as part of your Halloween celebrations, expect Twilight to be a hard movie to get into when it opens on November 21st. The movie is expected to sell-out and was voted on Fandango as the most anticipated movie for the remainder of the year.
