The only thing I know about Dragonball Z is that there's a ball involved, somehow, and maybe a dragon fits into the picture later on. And I have to say, the new, very very short clip from the movie that surfaced on YouTube doesn't tell me much else. It appears to be from a Japanese TV show, which means even the title is in Japanese-- I'm only going on blind faith that this is actually from Dragonball Z, and not some alternate reality version of Lord of the Rings.
But based on the helpful information in the comments below, the clip seems to feature Goku, the main character of the Dragonball Z series, when he discovers the first Dragon Ball and the uniform he wears throughout his journey to find the other balls (that last part is just a guess; correct me if I'm wrong). Either way, the clip should be thrilling for anyone anxiously awaiting the live-action version of this hugely popular series. Check out the clip below; it's sure to be only the beginning of what we'll see before the movie's April release date.

I don't know why they even bother? this has got to be one of the worst most anticipated movie to come next year. It may bring in money because some people will still go and see it but it will forever kill the franchise and name of Dragon Ball. Would you sell your "good" name for money? seems like it for Dragon Ball, yeah...shame to all the people involved in this. After defeating all evil, at the end, Goku lost his battle to some stupid movie maker! no level of super saiyan transformation can save him...except maybe Trunk from the future coming back to kick all the people involved in this movie's ass so they don't ever make this happen!
By the way, why wait til April fo next year to release it? Might as well drop the bomb now...it's gonna stink no matter what, no matter when and no matter where...but flies sure will be visiting...after all, they like crap! Don't be a fly!

This is a Dragonball movie not Dragonball Z. Dragonball Z is a sequel to Dragonball which is based on a successful comic book by Akira Toriyama in the early 80's and continues to have readership. What Goku has on his hand is called a dragonball if you get all seven dragonballs that are spread around the world a dragon will appear and grant you one wish. Goku and his friends must get all seven dragonballs before the greed and evil in the world could lay their hands on it.

In my opinion the only thing witch is equal to the anime are the dragonballs and the names of the charakters. Even Bulma is fighting there, whith weapons! In the anime, Goku and many of his friends are "Aliens" called Sayans, they also have "non-human"-abilities. As far as i saw from the trailer, they r fighting like human. I think this movie will destroy the hole DB-feeling.
