Could
Britney Spears actually be turning her life around? She's done a couple stints on How I Met Your Mother, released a hit single "Womanizer" and won three MTV Video Music Awards. And now there's talk of ... her hosting Saturday Night Live on Nov. 22.
Maybe she does deserve those kids back after all.
It's been a long climb back for Spears, who made her first appearance on SNL on May 13, 2000, as the host and musical guest. During her monologue she denied rumors that she lip-synched and had breast implants. Well, she's certainly garnered plenty of material over the past eight years for a weighty monologue this time around.
Indeed, last week she escaped a criminal conviction, earlier this week she she did not contest her father retaining control of her business affairs for an indefinite period. The conservatorship previously was extended until Dec. 31 but, in Tuesday's closed-court hearing, the judge made it permanent. Spears can request it to be lifted at a later date, reports Reuters.
Spears is hoping her cooperation will result in her regaining custody of her sons Sean Preston, 3, and Jayden James, 2, in the near future.
