There’s a chance that King of the Hill’s reign may not be over just yet -- ABC gave Scrubs, formerly on NBC, a home earlier this year and may do the same for
Mike Judge's King.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, sources say ABC, which has The Goode Family, an animated comedy series also from Judge, lined up for midseason, is eyeing the veteran toon.
A spokesman for producer 20th Century Fox TV would only confirm that "another network is interested" in the show reports THR. ABC had no comment, and there is no deal is in place.
There are a number of shows being renewed that are earning a modest 2.4 in adult demo ratings while King is averaging a 3.4 ... you do the math.
Pairing King and Goode works out well on paper but creating a Judge animated block could be a logistic nightmare due to the nine month production schedule to get King on air.
