Ouch! That's how quick he wants to get this divorce over with.
The famous couple who announced their separation last month, were reportedly granted a decree nisi by a judge at the clinical Principal Registry of the Family Division of the High Court in High Holburn, London officially ending the marriage, reports Bloomberg.com.
Ritchie, being a proper English gentleman, who was entitled half of Madonna’s worth by British law had only one request which was shared custody of their sons Rocco, 8, and David, 3. Not to mention, Ritchie has $45 million of his own in the bank. He can probably stretch that for a while.
Terms of the agreement weren’t disclosed by Judge Caroline Reid at a hearing in London. Madonna, 50, sought a divorce based on Ritchie’s “unreasonable behavior,” according to court documents.
“This is the epitome of how a divorce should be done and it is clearly what both Guy and Madonna wanted,” Joe Vaitilingam, a solicitor at family law firm Hughes Fowler Carruthers in London, said in an e-mail to Bloomberg.com.
Neither Ritchie or Madonna were at today’s hearing. The marriage will be officially dissolved in six weeks time when they will be granted a decree absolute.
