Quentin Tarantino wants to get something straight: the manly triumvirate of Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Sly Stallone has not been cast as an ungodly alpha-male force in his new picture Inglorious Bastards. In fact, the script hasn’t even been written yet. Yes, I know. I’m sorry for destroying your testosterone-fueled wet dreams, but sadly, like Jesus, I’m incapable of telling lies (unless I’m talking to girls, Jehovah’s Witnesses, or girls).
According to our good friend’s over at Moviehole, the somewhat eccentric director told Rotten Tomatoes that he hates writing movie roles with someone in mind. He just puts the story down on paper and then thinks up possible actors that could portray the role. I hate to call the man a liar, but there’s no way Mr. White wasn’t written for Harvey Keitel.
I’m not really a big action movie guy, so I’m pleased with this uncasting confirmation. I’d rather feed my children anthrax than sit through Arnold and Sly awkwardly bantering in between sniper attacks. I know, the thought horrifies me too. Tarantino is still over in Europe promoting Death Proof so don’t expect any new developments on this for awhile.
