Kara DioGuardia, aka “The Fourth Judge”, put her stamp on American Idol in the season opener, being the first to call a contestant a “b**ch”.
Before getting to the auditions in Phoenix, Arizona, the show opened with a primer on DioGuardi's background writing songs for Jewel, Celine Dion and
Kelly Clarkson.
Right away, we saw clips of DioGuardi fighting to be heard saying, "Can I say something!?" and getting a fake open-mouth kiss from former odd-girl-out Paula Abdul.
When first contestant Tuan Nguyen did a Michael Jackson impersonation, DioGuardi could barely contain herself giggling while saying, "I've never seen anything like that, and in a not-so-good way."
The aforementioned "b**tch" remark was handed out to Katrina "Bikini Girl" Darrell. DioGuardia was less than impressed by Darrell's once-around for the sake of the male judges.
Darrell won out in a "sing-off" and made it through to the next round. Wonder what she'll wear then?
DioGuardia not only held her own with the trio of judges but stepped into Simon Cowell’s role by polling the panel for their votes.
She was officially welcomed to the Idol franchise by a quirky contestant who professed to be her "#1 fan!”
She has fans already?
