Inkheart may not turn out to be a huge hit, having only opened to $7 million over the weekend, but Brendan Fraser will stick be sticking to the genre he knows best this days. He's recently signed on to star in Furry Vengeance, a movie that will probably be just as goofy as the title suggests.
Robert Kumble, who recently made another goofy comedy, Just Friends, will be directing, according to Variety. Fraser will play a real estate developer who is challenged by a group of woodland creatures trying to save their Oregon home from development. Not that I saw it, but isn't that the same plot as Over the Hedge? Are we already to the point that we're remaking movies that are less than 10 years old?
I've said it before and I'll say it again: I'll let Brendan Fraser get away with pretty much anything. But that doesn't mean I'll go into this movie with blind faith, given that it mostly just sounds like something we've seen many, many times before.
