First Character Poster From Up

At Wondercon in San Francisco this weekend, attendees will be treated with the same 45 minutes of footage that New York Comic Con a few weeks ago. In advance of Saturday's presentation, Coming Soon has snagged the first character from the film, focusing a character you wouldn't know anything about unless you saw the footage.

The character, a harmless looking yellow lab with a cone around his head, is Doug, a dog who can talk thanks to the collar around his neck. His thoughts are pretty much what you would expect from any loveable dog-- will you be my friend? Can I eat that? Squirrel! We don't know yet who Doug's master is that gave him this collar and ability to communicate, and the Wondercon audience won't find out either. But that'll just be a mystery to look forward to solving when Up finally comes out in theaters.

Check out a full-size version of the poster here.
