I have no idea what the deal is with the magazine Disney 23, which is apparently some kind of super-secret magazine for really, really big Disney fans. But those subscribers, whoever they are, were lucky enough to get the first look at some of Tim Burton's concept art for Alice in Wonderland, and an image of Mia Wasikowska in costume as Alice. It looks exactly like what you would hope for from Tim Burton-- which means you don't want to miss these images.
Beats me where to acquire an actual physical copy of this magazine, but Tim Burton Collective has some high-resolution scans from the article. Below are two smaller versions of a few of them, but definitely click over there to see the close-up views. Because of the way the movie will blend live-action and CGI, there's really no telling how close these images come to what the movie will actually look like. But if the film looks half this lush and inventive-- well, it'll be just the Tim Burton Alice movie we've been hoping for.
