Are finally going to see Where the Wild Things Are? Like, something more than the intriguing still images and the constant rumors that it's never going to get finished? CHUD has heard from an excited scooper that there's a trailer for the movie in front of Paramount's Monsters vs. Aliens-- and it's everything you wanted it to be and more.
"Not a teaser, full 3-min trailer, scored to 'Wake Up' by Arcade Fire," the scooper explained. "I can't verbalize how I felt about the trailer beyond the most grandiose superlatives: 'beautiful' and 'gorgeous' and 'breathtaking."
Wow. I wasn't going into Monsters vs. Aliens expecting anything but a slightly cheesy 3D spectacle, but now it looks like there might be something actually worth looking forward to before the big show. If this scooper turns out to be right-- and we have no way of knowing how accurate this guy is-- Monsters vs. Aliens might turn out to be a must-see for an unlikely combination of artsy hipsters and thrilled children.
