Charlie Sheen's baby twin sons have helped to heal the rift between the actor and his ex-wife Denise Richards.

Richards has revealed that she visited Sheen and his wife Brooke Mueller in the hospital just after they became parents to Max and Bob earlier this month.

And she insists the babies have helped beat the bitterness that once existed between them.

She says, "We've come to a really great place... and I wanted to tell the girls (daughters) I went and saw their new brothers.

"We've worked so hard to get into a really good place... It's important for our daughters and it's much easier in life for us to get along than have conflict... Life is too short."
