So what would happen if the cast of Mad Men were born a little bit later, and couldn't get jobs in advertising, going into insurance instead? It might resemble Ricky Gervais' next movie. Sony has agreed to make his movie The Men at the Pru, which Gervais will co-write, direct and produce with fellow Office creator Stephen Merchant.
Gervais won't star in the film, unfortunately, but Variety says he'll have a supporting role. Still, seeing Gervais and Merchant teaming up for a feature film is fantastic, since Gervais has yet to star in a movie that's as brilliant as his television work. Plus, they're returning to an office setting, which can really only mean good things. Ricky Gervais has had us in the palm of his hand for years now, and this seems like a guaranteed way to keep that going.
