Here's some casting news that makes no sense whatsoever. Ice Age 3 is set to come out this summer, and as we all know, animated movies usually go through a very long production process that involves casting actors years in advance. So how on earth has Simon Pegg just joined the cast of Ice Age 3? And what's going on with the character, "a larger than life, swashbuckling, one-eyed weasel."
This casting information comes from Empire Online, which tells us more details about the character but nothing about how Pegg came to get the role. Is he maybe replacing the voice of someone else who had the role before? Pegg's participation gives us more reason to look forward to the film, but still, I'm really curious about the story behind this one.
