Rashida Jones has found love after her split from The Office co-star John Krasinski -- she's dating one of Barack Obama's speechwriters.

Jones met 27-year-old Jon Favreau -- no relation to the Iron Man director -- at a political function in Washington, D.C., and they stepped out in public as a couple for the first time at this month's White House Correspondents Dinner.

And friends say Favreau has healed her heartache after her tough break-up with Krasinski, who's now dating actress Emily Blunt.

A source tells the National Enquirer, "For Rashida, her romance with Jon couldn't have come at a better time. She was miserable after breaking up with John. And it really hurt for her to see him dive into a love affair with Emily soon afterward."
