I’m not really aware of anybody that grew up with G.I. Joe. My generation was too preoccupied with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toys to get into any sort of Army propaganda action figures. Either way, somehow Joe got a movie and so far everything that’s been revealed of it has been less than impressive, despite having Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the title role.
To add to the already revealed mediocrity, MTV.com has released an exclusive clip of G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra which debuted during the MTV Movie Awards. The clip has dudes in weird suits chasing a girl wearing full-on leather who is hanging out with a guy with a green gun, all for no apparent reason. Oh yeah, there's a kill switch involved too, as well as bad CGI and the destruction of the Eiffel Tower. It'se filled to the brim with campiness. Check out the clip for yourself embedded below:
