The actress has beaten
Oprah Winfrey to the top spot on Forbes' 2009 Celebrity 100 list.
Winfrey slips to second after two consecutive years at the top of the power countdown.
Publication editors make their picks based on monies earned and global fame.
Madonna, Beyonce and
Tiger Woods complete the new top five.
Newcomers to the Forbes power list include Taylor Swift at 69, Toby Keith at 59 and actor
Alec Baldwin at 91.
