Wanted 2 has been a given ever since the first Wanted became one of those big unexpected hits last summer, and James McAvoy seems more than prepared to take the franchise upon his sexy Scottish shoulders. And he'd better get ready soon-- the movie's director Timur Bekmambetov spoke to some hometown Russian media (via Coming Soon) that he's now prepping the film, and will start shooting by the end of the year.
" "In July we will start preparation for the film. I think in the late autumn or winter shooting will be performed. The shooting will take place in America, India and Russia."
And, wait, what's that? He's found a way for Angelina Jolie's Fox character to come back? There's no explanation of that little detail, though I'm imagining a flashback or perhaps another magical loom will be involved. Wouidn't you rather properly test McAvoy's action star mettle? Or am I the only one who would happily see him cast in every movie of all kinds for the rest of time?
