What is the difference between the spirit and the soul?

This is what is written in Hebrew 4:12 ---

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

As the verse states, the soul and the spirit can be separated by the Word of God. This implies that they are not one and the same. The spirit does not have flesh and bones, while the soul is the wholeness of one's being. In Genesis 2:7, this is what is stated:

“But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.”

“And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.”

A living soul is the totality of the combination of the dust of the ground and the spirit or the breath of life that came from God.

Even if the body dies, the soul is heard the remainder through all eternity.

well if the body of a person dies.. it will return to the ground.

In genesis 2:7 it shows that God created man from the dust of the ground.

Genesis 2:7:

the LORD God formed the man [a] from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

And in Ecclesiastes it stated that all come from dust will return to dust. What happened to the spirit?

Ecclesiastes 3:20:

All go to the same place; all come from dust, and to dust all return.

Ecclesiastes 12:7 and the dust returns to the ground it came from,

and the spirit returns to God who gave it.

The spirit returns to our God who created us.

job12:10 In his hand is the life of every creature

and the breath of all mankind.

All people are to say that he or she can become a god.

Or,

Do all people to be return to god's origin?
