This ended up being my best anime for this year and i will burn it
. This is the conclusion of the original Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni (When They Cry) and it clears up the story and gives it a ending worthy of all endings to me. After i watched shuffle, claymore and other animes ending i always felt empty but this one....

It takes place in the lovely Hinamizawa a peaceful (cough) town found in the mountains run by 3 main families and the yazuka which is kinda friendly. Every year during the Watangashi Festival one person dies and another mysteriously vanishes. Most of the deaths were done the exact night of it usually through the victim clawing his throat out with his own hands in horror. In the future one most of it clears up as rika knows exactly what is happening and Hanyuu (The Resident god of the town) helps her reverse time everytime someone dies to try and put an end to the grizzly murders that happens. One by one the friends remember portion of their murderous past and try to keep their sanity while trying to pass June 31 alive. With death present always and minds constantly distorts is this the work of the other "god" Oyashiro-sama or is there some other person pulling the strings from a distance.
The second season was much more civilized and more horror free even though it had some of its bad parts to it. It has been announced that its going into its third season and its going to have a movie also. Maybe even a live action which i doubt with all the blood that they can pull off for audience viewing. Damn this one was good :D.
