Totally unexpected and great.
Unfortunately for me when I love a anime I end up watching the episodes out 2 fast :(. If u can finish torrenting 12 episodes in one night then you should also feel my pain. I watched it and then I was stuck on the songs lol. Forgive me for the long review since im going to cover both seasons.
The real question is..Hentai or no hentai? The story circulates around Louise, a young mage girl studying at the academy. However she inherits the name “Louise the Zero” because her success rate for any kind of spell is literally zero. Also I think it’s her bust size 2
…but moving on. She attempts to summon her familiar (a creature that resembles the summoner and its lifelong partner) as one of her exams. In the end she summons a plebian (you are either a mage or aristocrat or a plebian or local) name Saito. At first he tries to run away until he realizes 2 moons in the sky and then he gives up. Louise treats him like a pet, makes him sleep on hay, wash her underwear and whips him (bondage?!). Later on Saito is challenged by Guiche, an aristocrat and a wielder of earth magic because he voiced his opinion and fights. He is a playboy and tries to swing girls with the whole “rose in mouth” crap. Just like someone we all know (Naruto)
Saito won’t stay down and he gets a sword and his special powers activate and gives him the speed of an advanced swordsman and six thousand years worth of skill. After that he falls out for three days and Louise takes care of him. Later on he meets Kirche who falls in love with him and wants to “bed” him. (Big Breast and lovely face…anime slut).
Saito tries to fight but the breast are 2 big…and Louise catches him in a complicated position and so the jealousy comes out. Kirche uses fire magic and summons a salamander as her familiar. She is usually seen with Tabitha, a quiet girl with a past who is a wind mage and summons a dragon. Later on he meets Siesta, a maid who falls quickly in love with him and Henrietta, a Princess of Tristain who later comes on to ask the aid of Louise and Saito in the war against Tristain and Albion. Weird Twist…most of the academy’s cherished secret items are from Saito’s world including a porno and a rocket launcher. I think if the anime ended the way the first season did then most watchers would be upset. It was totally rushed as Saito finds a old world war 2 plane and fights in the war and Louise discovers her power.
After the first season Louise discovers she is a wielder of the secret element Void and Saito is a reincarnation called Gandalfr along with his…talking sword Derflinger who fought alongside him six thousand years ago. Saito now sleeps in the bed with Louise but everytime he gets perverted he gets blast with a Void explosion. I think thats the only thing she knows though lol 
Come on for real it’s not his fault. Louise changes in front of him, makes him wash her underwear and even though she has no breast she is still one of the cutest anime girls ever. This anime made him a pervert. Gentleman or not if u throw a guy into a anime this is what will happen.. 
With the war half finished and a dead king on the enemy side the soldiers are lead by a secret person to rebel against Tristain. Again Henrietta comes to depend on Saito and Louise for help against it with their newly discovered power. Guiche and the males of the academy leave for war and only the women are left. Agnes, leader of the musket division steps in. She hates mages and is only after revenge after someone killed everyone in her village which turns out to be the teacher Colbert. She is the “hidden lesbian” type after kissing Louise and after Siesta heard rumors. Did I mention the maid got bolder and started doing really hentai things? Also Henrietta kissed Saito -.-…(made the poor kid a pervert).
Julio also steps in. He looks like Guiche except he doesn’t go for all the girls. He also challenges Saito to a normal sword match over Louise’s kiss. The first season was mostly comedy and the second season turned out to be a Romance/hentai/wtf situation since both Louise sisters enter the academy. Eleanor the flat chest barbarian and Cattleya the big breasted pink haired one. For some reason he keeps finding himself in the wrong room and touching Eleanor in the chest area (she has a worse whip -.-). Saito admits her feelings for Louise but because he is an amateur he cannot realize she feels the same way and ends up hurt through most of the anime (like some of you guys no offense J). There was also some dude who thought he was a girl but...i don't wanna find pictures on him...he was funny though 
The ending was a bit rushed and they could’ve branched into 13 episodes but if anyone finished it then u would know how heartwrenching it was. Also if you’re looking for the “I SAY YES (Wedding Version)” I know where to find it. Yea there was a marriage between Louise and Saito in the last episode but im not saying nothing more. That’s enough spoiler for u! A third season has been announced to come out this year sometime so cross ya fingers.
One of my favorite animes…now answer it..hentai or not? Cuz im still wondering :S. Well because of this anime I know what my gf will be wearing tonight. Goodnight ladies and Gentleman.
