You should wipe the server, and let people who payed for GOLD have it put on their new account while everyone starts at 0. That is the only way to restore balance and fairness. This game was released way too early and was not properly tested. There are so many features that don't work quite right.
You need to install code that compares the amount of GOLD someone has earned and bought with the value of their items.
Everyone in the top 30 probably took over a thousand promotion packs, which cost 4,000 GOLD each. That is the equivalent of, at least, 4,000,000 GOLD. Some people have heroes with stats in the 150's because they were able to craft level 6 equipment. These stats are otherwise impossible to reach and allow a person with 1,000 cavalry to take on a non-cheater with 10,000 cavalry.
You need to make it easier for people to report bugs without posting it on the forum. I mailed the admins whose forum names matched their player names with the ceasefire cheat a long time ago. Obviously, they are inactive. I was unable to use the SMS system in these forums, and I am still unable to use it with 3 different browsers. That should be fixed.
You should make a proper FAQ, since people ask the same questions over and over again.
If you take the time to do this game right, the investment will be worth it. As I see it, it has crashed and burned since so much cheating has gone on. Who needs to buy GOLD when you can get items for free? Who wants to buy GOLD when there are people who stole more than anyone else could ever pay for?
A new player could spend $10,000.00 USD and still not come close to what the cheaters have gained.
You should take some lessons from EVONY, because that is where I am going. I might consider a return if this game ever works properly, but it would seem that you do not have the resources to achieve that.
