Welcome to pirateds blog once again...........

In this post i will tell you how to convert your yellow light(saying your listen port is not open) of bitcomet into green and getting downloading speed double.........and believe me it works..........

My Bit comet before these steps:

7

STEPS:

1.Goto Start>>Control Panel

2.Now switch to classic view

network connection

3.open network connections..........

4.now right click your connection and click properties...

2

5.click "internet protocol(TCP/IP)" and click on its properties...

6.now click on use the following ip address........

7.now enter your ip address, subnet mask, Default gateway, preffered DNS server, and alternate DNS server.........this will convert your dynamic IP into static one....

3(Note i have not inserted ip address here but you have to use your own IP address which you can easily get by some download speed checking sites like "www.dataone.in")

8.remember IP address entered....

9.in address bar enter "192.168.1.1" and press enter............if you have never opened it before then both password and used name will be "admin".

4

10.now your settings for your router would be opened

11.Now search for "NAT Settings"

12.in NAT settings Enter ip address and press enter.

5

13.Save this setting and reboot your router.

14.Now open bitcomet.....there you get green light.

Hi, I must commend you for being so helpful. Your explainations are somewhat complex but the related pics are helpful. I am just glad that I don't have that problem. I have in the past and somehow fixed it by doing nothing at all; perhaps rebooting the router and restarting. I guess I was just lucky. Take care.........TheLeonardo
