and you may need to forward your ports in the zhone adsl 2+ bridge/router too. connect your pc directly to the modem and see if your light turns green.

Good, I'm glad to hear you resolved your problem. I suspected it was Nvidia Network Manager, which is a horrible program, and completely unneeded, as windows does a much better job on its own.

Would you please post the solution you found, so other members can perhaps learn from your experience

just to specify this probleme was caused by my voice over ip modem (linksys)

by following the steps givin here :

http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Linksys/SPA-2102/default.htm

and

in this image bellow there is missing some information which i hade to change (info given by my internet technical support)

http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Linksys/SPA-2102/SPA-21024.jpg

a bit lower there is DMZ settings which was set to ''no'' change it to ''yes''

then you need to find out what is your ip address (i've created a static ip) and sepcify your ip in the ''DMZ host ip address''

last make sure your listen port on bitcommet is set within the range of your linksys router this info is givin at the bottom of the page in your linksys adavance settings

DMZ will send all internet traffic to a specific computer/device. This in effect bypasses the router, and opens your computer up the the internet, so if you don't have another router connected, make sure you have a very good software firewall.
