Hi, i realy dont understand this.

Yesterday i still downloaded a torrent wich was going like 800 to 1200kb

but since today all my downloads wont go faster then 50 to 200kb :S!?

lights are all green, settings the same.

torrents have ALOT of seeds i even downloaded torrents i already had just to test if it werent the torrents.

and sometimes while torrents have more then 100 seeds it wont even start :S?

but realy YESTERDAY i still download 1200kbs, please help me on this one.

i checked my orignal download and upload speed tested @ speedtest.net several times and this is what came out:

so it says 800 mb in 12 min, but that takes hours now :S

And it wasnt downloading full speed before at all either but didnt realy matter cause it was fast enough but now :S its just soo slow. i mean its ridiculous right? capable of being able to download like 8000kbps but BitComet now goes 50 to 200 : (

there HAS to be a solution right?

greets

this problem may not be related to bitcomet, your speed is depending on how fast is the upload speed of the peers you connect to , how many peers are avilable to connect to you, and the priority you have above others to connect to those peers is based on your ratio and upload speed. :D please correct me if i'm wrong

One thing your missing is the difference between kb/s and kB/s. You may be able to download at 8000kb/s, but that converts to 1000kB/s (bits vs. Bytes).

Your tested max download speed of 9mb/s or 9000kb/s is approx equal to your report of 1200kB/s. However your rarely going to get that speed, since the maximum you can upload is less then 100kB/s.

Bittorrent protocol will give more download to those who upload the most, so at times your speed will run on average of 50% to 200% of your upload speed. Sometimes you may see much faster download speed if there are more peers giving data then requesting data.

You can change some settings to improve your speed by limiting your upload to a level where your uploading as much as you can without completely consuming all your upload, leaving you unable to communicate with peers in a timely manner.

With your connection, setting the global max upload speed and LTseed limits to about 80% of your tested speed should help.

I usually recommend setting max upload to 70% and LTseed to 10%.

Some people prefer to disable LTseed and set global max upload to 80%. This will get you faster bittorrent speed, but no LTseed.

Your settings based on your speedtest should be about...

Max Upload 77kB/s

LTseed max 9kB/s

or

max upload 86kB/s

LTseed disabled.

I hope this helps you,

There is of course another possibility. and that is of your ISP. I recently suffered a week of incredibily slow speeds which was purely down to my ISP servers' problems. but tbh i think "the unusual suspect" has probably hit the nail straight on the head. :)

Have you a router? I suffered the same problem two days ago, but after restarting it my DL speeds up again... I dl almost 30 gigabytes in 4 days!

Still, connecting to your router (see instruction manual) you can see your real connection speed (if your isp cannot provide you full service).
