a match one for one is the best add upt damages and def, etc to get what you are up against, and match it or go better , better is better, heheheeh

Still is it good idea to get only units with most range?

I can't believe nobody knows the answer...

no answer match the incoming attack very simpleif you get all with the longest range you will not be able to hit during the other battle phases 1,2,3,4,5, etc you need a good mix so you can hit in all of the battles not just the 1st one......

I believe the allies have their own strengths.

P-47 that engages in up to 3 rounds.

B-17 that has good DMG to both infantry(defenses) and armor with high HP, although they consume a lot of grain.

P-63 cheap and the death to defenses.

P-38 high DMG and engages in 2 rounds if you know how to use them.

I never played with them but a good player can do wonders with them.

I'd love to know what the Axis equivalent is of all those Allied P-somethings! I get knocked around a bit by a certain Allied player, but I don't know what I should be recruiting to match him!
