Hello everyone,
I have not been here for some time, this is due to my craft. I am crocheting baby wear for a friend of mine who is having twins in early August. Because we only have one season in my country and it is always warm I have to use thread for the christening dress set and light yarn for the sweater sets. The boy's set is finished but I am now working on the bootees for the girl. Using thread takes a lot of time but I am happy doing it. These are my gifts to the new babies when they appear. Each have a sweater set.
I had a Birthday on July 4th. It was quiet, went to church and lunch with friends. But most of all I thank God for his kindness and blessings on me for the past years, He has brought me this far and He will continue keeping me safe for the rest of my life. This year I look forward to more blessings and good health.
We are into our Crop-Over season, This begins after the harvesting of the sugar canes. Crop-Over starts in June with street fairs, local performances, the appearances of the Parish Committees with their King and Queen, the Calypso Tents with various artist vying for the title of Colypso Monarch in August 1st. The season finishes with a Grand Kadooment on August 3rd. This is like Carnival with the judging of the King and Queen of the many bands that will be on the road that day, the Party Monarch and the road march song.
Here is the site where you can go and get more info about Crop-Over and Kadooment. http://www.kadooment.com
Love you all
