Can anyone tell me how to convert AVCHD (MTS) into MP4 (more specifically H.264)?
MTS files are used primarily with Sony hardware. Camcorders make use of MTS in the form of AVCHD, a recording format made specifically for camcorders. Some camcorder models from Canon also use MTS files.
These files are also present on Blu-ray disc compilations, therefore
they are capable of storing quite a large amount of information and
data tracks.

Step1. Open Convert Video/DVD
In the Movavi VideoSuite main window, choose 'Convert Video/DVD' to launch the application.
Step2. Add Video or DVD
From the program screen, click the Video button to open the MTS file you want to transfer
Step3. Choose a format which you want to transfer
Click the Advanced tab and from the Output format drop-down menu, such as MPEG4 (iPod, MP4). From the Presets drop-down menu, choose one appropriate format, such as HD H.264 720p.
Step4. Click Convert
To save converted files choose the Output folder.
Press the Convert button.
