Yeah I've been there, done that. Even kinda vented about it a couple of days ago. But my problem isn't speed, I just hate when someone downloads something and doesn't seed. But I agree some people suck. Just not quite the way you put it.

This depends on the definition of "Leecher".

In Bittorrent protocol, a "leecher" is a peer that hasn't yet downloaded 100%, but a common "slang" definition of leecher is someone who doesn't continue the upload until he/she has given back as much as they have taken.

The latter definition reminds me of people at work that sign up for "gift exchange" at our company Christmas party just so they can get a gift, but don't provide one for the person they were assigned to give theirs to. In my mind, they are the scum of the earth, and have no right taking a gift if the don't also provide one, just as a torrent user has no right to take the downloaded files without continuing to pass them on to the next users.
