What do you mean? If you mean how to get commanders you have to recruit them and they also cost grain and if you mean legendary commanders then buy an invitation poster in the mall.

Upgrading a commander's status require experienced; either by declare war on a player or do the "Task" mission. Once you completed a mission, that commander should earned some experienced. To update a commander status you must go to the default commander screen and point and click on the field you want to upgrade - Strength, Command, Intelligence, or Charm. Note: When you point on the number, it should show you how many experience point needed to upgrade.

Kick someone's ass and your commander will get exp, use the exp to increase his attributes. Never spend points on int, its the most useless attribute of a commander. You also get a chance to earn tokens depending on the performance of your commander and troops in battle.

any i ask? Int increase ur recovery.. but recover what???

Upgrading the intel of the commander increases the number of units u can heal,the higher the number the more troops you have the option to heal them with gold but it can cost alot of gold.Myself I let them die usually.
