VietNamNet Bridge – An on-going hunt for crocodiles which escaped from the largest crocodile farm in Southeast Asia is taking place in the central province of Khanh Hoa.
Hundreds of soldiers, rangers, staff members of the crocodile farms and local people are searching each sq.m of land to hunt hundreds of escaped crocodiles.
This farm, owned by the Khanh Hoa Group and located in Khanh Phu commune, Khanh Vinh district, Khanh Hoa province, was damaged on November 10 because of flash flood. Consequently, hundreds of crocodiles escaped into the environment. At present, the owner doesn’t know exactly how many of its 5,000 crocodiles are on the loose.
By November 12, 64 crocodiles had been seized or killed.

Flash flood at 12am and 4pm of November 10 damaged dike sections around streams and rivers in Yang Bay area. A 200m dike along Cho Ho stream collapsed, enabling floods to hit the fence of the crocodile farm. As a result, crocodiles escaped into the stream and followed the water to the Cau and Cai rivers.
