ive got a question i thought peers that come up local were meant to be better to have so how come when i use a port thats unblocked 1/2 my sorces are remote and when i use one thats blocked there all local and i get faster speeds could some one please tell me why and i take it it is better to have local rather than remote?

Suposedly when you had all your peer initiations as REMOTE, you would have your port open. And if they where all LOCAL or NAT traversal then you still have something blocking your port.

That is NOT accurate information you see, depending on the torrent that you're about to download, you can get; either all local peers, or all remote peers.

"E.g. If you're living in USA, and you're downloading a japanese torrent, your peer initiations are more than likely to be all Remote."

Thats really a good example that explains it a lot better, if you did'nt understand. It's from the forum
