Some Comments on MWO V2

Though I have not been to the new maps and instances, i have some general comments to make that most players will agree to:

.

1. The System Binding of some of those gifts are most uncalled for as many of the players "depend on these for a living". They sell these items which are in more popular demand so as to generate "gold" to purchase other items they need. The inability to generate the necessary "income" to maintain the characters will cause players to leave as they see that they no longer can further upgrade their characters. The lack of "gold" is already appearing as we see more barter trade in the game now than previously.

2. Free plats are no longer available is also uncalled for, the amount had already been reduced from 50plats to 20plats on reaching level 40. Though the idea might be to reduce plat farming by players who create multiple alts to get free plats, this is a fallacy if you just sit back and give it a thought. For example, if a player create 10 alts and level them to the necessary level to obtain the plats, he/she will get 200 plats in total which seems a BIG amount but we must understand that these are spread over 10 accounts and since plats credited to accounts cannot be traded, each account has only 20 usable plats and when you look at the prices in the Mall, there aren't many items they can buy with 20plats.

3. The idea of giving a set of Elite equipment to players reaching level 30 is a good idea as it helps them on their equipment needs.

4. The giving of a legend item at level 40 is good but hope that there is someway that it can be unbound. Say on the player reaching level 52 when it is time to change equipment, these equipments can be unbound so that it can be given/sold to other lower levels. It promotes some cooperation in the game which is what is needed to maintain the game.

These are just a few general comments which I hope the GMs will take a serious look into. Give the player a good feeling and they stay but give them a bitter taste and they leave as there are many choices to pick from.

I'm not against bartering since gold is third on the list for trade, 1st being platz and 2nd being bartering, but I'm personally against the fact Bliss D and S are no longer exchangeable because we really need the accumulation of them so we cannot be stuck on same level for weeks.

Considering the exp chart to other games, this one is the highest I've seen. Now with max being 120, it'll be extremely unfair for newer players which will naturally discourage from the bullying that'll occur when said noobs are hunting in ST and get bullied from a spot.

Reply to 2nd observation:

I have mixed feelings about the new level 40 awards. The 50 plat award was too much because of the hardcore farmers. Normally, people farm as much they need and lose interest. Therefore, they get what they need and more on. However, hardcore farmers will not stop farming from 12pm to 12am even if the plat award was 1. The main reason everyone, and I MEAN EVERYONE, who can farm for plats was forr repair oils and small blessed S. Now that's gone and most important items being binded, I doubt even a merger would fix the problem. Of course, they can always raise the durability but they'll wouldn't.

Reply to 4th observation:

There wouldn't be a need for this if they unbound Call God, Magic tokens, and Bliss S/D. Even if you can unbound level 40 award legends it'll still really be not worth it. Mainly because all armor above 48 better than legends because of level 8 leech and def. This would be a loophole to farm legends.

P.S

Either way, soon many players will have 10 accounts with all characters being lvl 45 for Sunday's lucky hammer reward. I wonder what the GMs plan then? Eliminate Sunday Hammers? Lower the lucky chance on Sunday hammers, which already have the worst probability. Even if the hammers say 80% it's actually quite lower. The hammers you get from Mall or bosses are much better probability and rewards.

My 1st point is to bring home the point that players need resources to exchange and buy the items they need and as you level up, the items that you need will most probably end up with the higher level players. The only way to get them is to have the "items" that these players need which are Symbols and experience crystals. Whether they buy/sell or barter, there must be something that can help them to generate the resources needed. Once bound, this route is cut. I agree that these items can be bought with plats but not everyone can afford to buy a lot of plats, especially so as the higher level you are the more resources you need to upgrade. The game need to provide an alternative however small which if not for anything, it is good for PR.

As for point 2, I was thinking of not 50plats but say 20plats as previous so they can have something to start with.

My idea of being able to unbound the Legends at a certain stage is so that these items can probably be released into the market after they passed the useful life for a player. Anyway, it is only one Legend item out of seven.

Ha! I didn't know the hammers from mall and bosses has a higher probability. I only know that I had failed umteen times at level 2 which is suppose to have a 80% chance of getting to the next stage.
