Ok, well here is another quick write-up on how to get (most) PC games running.
First your going to need Daemon Tools (http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/download.php) and you will also need YASU (http://yasu.copybase.org/)
Why would I need these? well Daemon tools is a emulator that mounts the disc image so when the game is started up from your hard-drive, Daemon tools will fake out the software saying "hey, the CD is in (X:) drive" This will pass the safety measures and run the game. Besides using it for pirating, this is also a nice feature for back-ups (if you have alot of Hard-drive space) and had switching out CD's everytime you want to play World in Conflict and then Supreme Commander.
so what is YASU? well this application is an add-on to help daemon tool sneak around unsuspectively. YASU is a cloak program to cover up Daemon tools while in use. Why does it need to be cloaked? Well alot of newer games are catching on to pirating and are putting blacklists up into the software itself. You will usually get an error message such as "Error: Emulator detected"
After these two programs are install, you will need to back-up your CD to the hard-drive (if your not pirating) if you are, give me your full name so i can turn you in haha. I'm Joking! If your doing illegal acts, well think of it as a library - I like to read books and put them back when im done. But i'll buy the ones I really like. Sorry to Rumble on, Now if you are pirating - you will need to download the torrent - once it's finished, you will need to extract the files (the .rar or .iso) to hard-drive (usually using WinRar - http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm). Once it's extracted, install the software into your Hard-drive. (if you like, you can then delete the extracted files seeing how you installed the game itself, but leave the original .rar that you downloaded from Bitcomet so people can seed from you - It's only fair that you share. At least 1.000 Ratio)
Now you will need to find a mount image if the torrent didn't come up with one (this is for Daemon Tools) http://m0007.gamecopyworld.com/games/gcw.shtml is a good place to find all the updates and mount images for your software. Save it wherever you like (i usually put it in the directory of the software itself for easy access, or forgetfullness haha)
Usually newer games will need a Key Code, if one is not provided by the torrent itself - just the comments sections on the torrent page (usually there) If not, Gamecopyworld might have them.. it's not hard to find serial codes for games anymore. (just remember, a serial code usually is already in use and wont work for multiplayer - And I'm not a big fan for Key Generators, most have trojans or backdoors. So be very cautious playing with fire)
After you get the Image installed, go to Daemon tools and mount the image on whatever drive you like, then you can go into your hard-drive and start up the .exe
The software will start-up, check for a CD in the Drives - if you have it all correct, the game should just start up.
Now there are some variables with newer games, alot of newer protections comming out so you will need to check up on Daemon Tool's website to figure out what games have what Safety Protection.
I hopes this write-up helps out some people figuring out how to extract,install,mount and play PC software games. I'm no expert myself, but I've spent over 8 hours on each torrent i download trying to get it all extracted and running - Some can be very different and difficult but with alittle effort and patience, anyone can pirate or back-up their CD's to their Hard-drives to play.
Please remember to Seed your torrent at least to 1.000 Ratio, If you want to know how much your downoad/upload ratio is - you will see a "Statistics" tab below your torrent downloads and to the left of your internet window. Click that and if your Download is less than or equal to upload then your ratio is 1.000+. If not, once your downloads are done - Leave your bitcomet open for uploads - or put your bitcomet on a scheduler if you dont have enough CPU for it in the background.
