First of all, I really apologize for not having written for a long time.

I watched "kyogen" the other day.

Kyogen is one form of the traditional drama in Japan.

It was created about 700 years ago. But it is not different from its old style.

Today's kyogen is the same as what it was 700 years ago.

 Kyogen is comical drama.

The kyogen I watched is the story entitled "dwarf trees" and "tying with a rod."

The story of "dwarf trees" is this.

Long ago, there was a man who had no dwarf tree dispite of having it boom.

He had a friend who had a great many dwarf trees.

So the man asked him to give one of them to him many times. But he didn't give.

At one mid night, the man stole in his friend's house.

But, his friend was woke up by a sound which made by the man.

The man hid as soon as he noticed his friend.

His friend knew that there is him behind a dwarf tree.

 So he banterd him.

First, he said, "There is a dog. If you're dog, bark now!" And the man barked "growl! growl!"

In old Japan, it is said that dogs bark "byou byou."

It is said the reason is that howling sounded so then.

Second, he said "No, there is a monkey. If you're monkey, cry now!" And the man cried "chatter! chatter!"

Third, "No, there is a fish. If you're fish, cry now!" But, the man didn't know what a fish cries like because it never cries.

Then, the man was chased by his friend.

Kyogen is very funny story like this. I want to watch more kyogens.

I'm going to write about "tying with a rod" tomorrow.

 It's very funny story too!
