I hate Metallica.  I hate then for the simple fact that they believe that the freedom of information on the web is about trying to hurt their monitary returns.  Man I'm sorry, but you assholes have millions of dollarsand wasn't Lars rather rich growing up (not sure if it was him, but it was one of those numbnuts)?  Yeah I feel sorry for you to the point that I believe that the twelve year old who bootlegs Enter Sandman should not only be find, but flogged publicly as well.  You whiney bastards.  I'm sure that the $1 you get in royalties is a fair amount to destroy someones life over.  I work at a crappy retail chain that sells their crappy cds.  The company has done studies that suggest that the illegal bootlegging of albums will result in some lost revenue, the promotion that the album gets will actually cause it to sell more copies.  So I for one is agaimst bootlegging anything by Metallica because I don't want anybody to listen or purchase to anything of their's ever again.  In fact this will be the last time that I mention them in the hope that they will just go off and die in the forest.  They can live in one of those cabins in Lincoln, MT by the place that the Unibomber hung out in.  I think that the wirld would be a better place because of this and I hope that you fell this way also.

interesting first post.

yes i agree that the band members are multi millionaires and i feel they have worked fucking hard for what they have got they are true musicians who started at the very very bottom and worked themselves up to where they are today. but before you start attacking the band over copyright blah blah blah it was actually metallicas record company that instigated this against this yes we shall say it "child" this was also done WITHOUT the approval of both james hetfield and lars ulrich who from what i hear from a very reliable source were against any legal action. its ok for people to sit on the fence and have thier say but when they start spouting shit and half baked shit at that im sorry but that gets my back up may i suggest you click on the link below have a read and find out just what metallica has done for a wide range of charities.

i would just like to add that a lot of other groups have done the very same over royalties and you never hear anything about it in the press however in this case because it was a child involved it went straight to the best seller position in the gutterpress these other band and groups HAVE NOT GIVEN JACK SHIT TO ANY CHARITY
